Life Through the Cross
This layered wood piece brings the image of the tree of life together with the cross of Christ. The lighter wood rises from the dark circular backing, allowing the branches, leaves, roots, and central cross to emerge as one unified design.
The tree of life first appears in Eden and returns in the final vision of Scripture, where its fruit and leaves speak of the life and healing found in the presence of God. Placing the cross at the center draws our attention to the One through whom that life is given. The way back to life is not opened by human effort, but through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
The roots reach downward while the branches stretch outward, but everything gathers around the cross. It is a reminder that the whole hope of God’s people—our forgiveness, our life, and our future—rests in Christ.
